Choose the type of investment
A website explains and converts. A web app manages users, data and workflows. An MVP tests one assumption with the smallest dependable scope.
Budget beyond screens
Content, privacy, accessibility, security, integrations, testing, hosting and maintenance all matter. Ambiguous requirements often cost more later.
Standard or custom
Use a proven platform when the workflow is common. Custom development can make sense when the process creates differentiation or must scale as a product. Start with scope, not a package price.
What to prepare for the first conversation
Prepare a one-page brief with audience, offer and intended customer action. Mark every feature as essential now or later. Identify who supplies copy, images and translations, which systems need integration and who maintains content. Ask for setup, recurring costs and extensions separately. This makes proposals comparable without relying on a low headline price.
